Wireless Internet Problem

Hello everyone,

I have a Dell Latitude D610 laptop. Everything was going great until no more wireless Internet. I have to plug it in to get Internet and also have the power cable plugged in for the Internet to work. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? When I search for wireless connections, nothing comes up also.

GIANTS10,

Did you just re-install the operating system?

Since the operating system was re-installed did you remember to go to drivers and downloads, enter your service tag(DO NOT POST SERVICE TAG here or your post will get deleted, since it contains your personal information), and install these drivers in this order.

Desktop System Software or Notebook System Software
Chipset or SMBus driver
Processor Driver (if applicable)
Video
Audio (sound)
Input Drivers (keyboard/mouse)
Modem
Network Card

GIANTS10,

Try running WinSockXPFix and see if you can connect.

Does the computer still see wireless networks?  Do you have other computers that are able to connect to the wireless network you used to use?
