I don't feel comfortable doing this myself.  I have paid for support. Can't I take it somewhere to  have someone  competent look at it?

Check to make sure the MiniCard is firmly seated and the antenna wires are firmly connected.  See the followiing:

It involves unscrewing one screw and opening the door on the bottom of the computer.  I don't see how anyone can be a computer owner and not be able to do this, but it's your choice.  You will have to call Dell Tech Support.

Steve:
Thanks for the info.
After I unscrew one screw and open the door-what next? How do I know if the wires are loose or not?

I have seen posts where "computer owners" don't even know how to get to the device manager so don't slam me because I don't want to open the back of my computer.    You may have the knowledge and experience but I don't want to damage my computer.  See note below from the link you sent me,

"Only a certified service technician should perform repairs on your computer. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty"
