Wireless Modem?

I'm moving my computer to another room but don't want to pay the phone company to move my adsl modem upstairs. Is there such a thing as a wireless modem that I can buy? Or maybe a piece of equipment that will enable my modem to stay downstairs while I'm upstairs using it? I'm using a Dell Dimension 4500 with an Alcatel Speedtouch ADSL Modem. If I have to buy a new modem to be wire free, I don't mind.

Thanks for reading this.

You will be shopping for a wireless access point (or router) that will connect to your DSL adapter and a wireless adapter for your computer. These should enable you to wirelessly connect your system to your internet service. The Dimension - Network forum may contain additional useful information on this topic.
