Wireless Nertwork Password Question

Question

I've just created a wireless network between my Desktop and a new Laptop computer. I'm using WinXP home, a Linksys Boroadband router, I'm the only user + administer of both computers. File and Print sharing is enabled on both computers. I've never created any type of password to log onto either computer. The Win firewall is off on both computers and I have a Sygate personal firewall enabled on the desktop. The only password I've created is one to enter the router's initial set up. The network works fine and I can access the internet from both computers, however when I go into Network Neighborhood and select my workgroup here's what happens; From the laptop I can access the desktop computer's files w/o any problems. From the desktop when I try to access the laptop I get a password dialog box with 'comp name\guest' which is greyed out - and a place to enter a password (which I've never created).   How do I configure this so I don't get this password request when trying to access the laptop? Thanks so much for any insights. Bob

Have you shared resources on the laptop? If you use the same user/(password) on each computer, you should be able to automatically connect from on to the other.

OK, I'm an idiot....   In setting up the new laptop I partitioned the hard drive and then completely forgot to go back and re-enable file sharing on each of the new partitions.   Thanks for your response.
