Wireless network - connection problem

Question

Hi guys: I own an Inspiron 531 which I've had for about 3 or so years, and I have recently come back to it after a year or so. The problem is: it's not connecting to the wireless network. I'm not sure why - I own 4 other laptops (eg: Inspiron 1545) that connect perfectly fine. I'm not sure if its because my computer is too far away, because its pretty much on the other side of the house, but when I use my laptop near it it still works fine. Sometimes my network comes up when I search for wireless networks (signal strength about 2-3/5) and SOMETIMES it connects after a while but usually it still doesn't let me connect. It often doesn't appear at all. Now, I really know nothing on how to solve this and if you need more information let me know (you probably do). Sorry its so vague By the way its Windows Vista Home Premium OEMact (if that means anything)

Antenna? You mean on the modem?

might want to check to be sure your antenna is connected. if it is might want to try to be sure you have your wirless driver up to date
