Wireless Network Security

I have a Dell Inspiron 1705 laptop (Vista) purchased last February.  It has a Dell wireless 1500 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini-card installed.  I also have a Belkin N1 Wireless Router, model # F5D8231-4 ver 2000, purchased last February.  Both purport to support WPA/WPA2-Personal security.  When I try to set up the network to WPA/WPA2 security, the router shows Authentication WPA2-PSK, with encryption AES.  The wireless computer allows me to choose WPA/WPA2, with AES but will not accept the network security key I set on the router.  The system works flawlessly when I set it to WEP.  Does anyone have any idea how I can make this system work at the WPA/WPA2 security level?  I have been assured I have the most up-to-date driver for the WLAN mini-card.

try to view the details of your wireless card by going to network and sharing center and make sure you choose WPA Personal or WPA2...

try the WPA/TKIP   just dont use WEP..easy to hack into and it's old technology.

Thanks for the replies.  At least now I have the security up to WPA-Personal with TKIP encryption.  I'm still disappointed that I can't get the WPA2/AES to work no matter what I try.  How much security does this configuration give me? Is there anything else I should try?  Is it time for a different router?

not really but you can try to play with your router to check all the settings and google it to find out more about your wireless keys... just incase you forgot everything you can always press the reset button on your router as long as you know all the settings its good to go... :)
