Make sure that File and Printer Sharing is enabled and that you have designated drives or folders as shared resources. If you are using Windows XP SP1, make sure that the Windows firewall is disabled on the local area connection. If you are using Windows XP SP2, make sure file and printer sharing is checked off on the Windows Firewall Exceptions tab. If you have any third party firewalls running make sure they are configured to allow local network traffic.
