Wireless networking w/Windows 98 2ed

Hopefully, if I'm not at the right place in terms of the forums, someone will send me in the correct direction.

Meanwhile, I have a home network with the following:

1 (Dell) desktop running XP Pro
2 (Dell) desktops running XP Home
1 Toshiba laptop running XP Pro

They are on a wired network (Linksys Router/4 wires/& wireless capable), and we share printers and files with no problem to this point.

I frequently use a home office, and want to be able to access the network (via wireless) with my older laptop that is on Windows 98 2nd ed.

If I put a wired card in the laptop, I can hook into the network with no problem.

If I boot it to a wireless card (matching Linksys), I can access the web and email, but it does not show up on the network, nor can I access the other computers or the printers.

Probably, there is something in the set up that I have not configured properly, but at this point, I am fresh out of the options I know to try.

All suggestions and insight will be appreciated.

There is a routine on the XP machines to generate a disc to run on the 98 machine to set it up to see the others on the network.  Not really up on this but if you search or go to www.homenethelp.com you should find what I mean.

RickWinger,

The reply in this short thread at DUX Computer Digest covers all the Win98 settings needed.
