Wireless Networks Connection's Tab

Question

The wireless connections tab always goes missing despite going through the procedure of W Zero Config Service etc and eventually it appears again but unfortunately it goes missing again thereby disrupting the wireless connection. Any thoughts on why this continues to happen? I was wondering if a driver is needed? My server is Orange Livebox and my notebook is Inspiron 6400. Many thanks Aidan

You don't say which wireless network adapter you have in that system, so I can't provide details.  The problem, however, is likely that the utility that comes with the wireless adapter (either the Dell wireless utility or the Intel ProSet Utility) is set to manage your wireless networks.  Open whichever utility you have and tell it not to manage the wireless networks.   Steve
