Wireless not working after HDD installation

Hi all-

My hard drive recently failed, and I installed a new hdd in my Studio XPS 1647.  Everything seems to be working like a charm... except the wireless.  I'm running Windows 7 64Bit, for your reference.   I went to the Dell driver site, and ignorant, originally downloaded everything that seemed to be relevant concerning the networking drivers.  When that didn't work, I came upon an article that gave the correct order of driver installations.  I re-installed in that order, albeit using the download manager.  No luck.  I've run Dell Diagnostics, and the only problem it sees is USB status (but USB is working great... I've printed and access my external hd without problem)... no problems showing with networking.  Under the device manager, Base System Device (2), Intel Centrino Advanced-N WiMax6250 and Network Controller all have (!) marks.  I actually un-installed all of those, and re-installed the network drives for a 3rd time.  Still no go.  I'm not the most tech savvy individual, so please help me figure out the issue.  BTW, I also have my old system backed up... but do not know how to transfer those settings to this system, if that were to solve the problem.

Thanks!

I did.  Did not resolve the problem.  I use a Seagate external drive.  This wireless problem is driving me crazy.  Please help me resolve it .. I'm at the point now where I'm even willing to wipe everything out and start over again.  It's a new hard drive so I'm cool with starting over from scratch and re-downloading everything.  But, I need to know how to do that as well.  This is driving me crazy.  I need wireless access for work.

Hi fashiondiva81,

Thank you for your reply and for providing an update on the status. I suggest you to reinstall Windows by wiping out everything and install the drivers in the same order as provided in the link below:
http://dell.to/X1IKGu

Installing the drivers in correct order fixes issues with driver installations and incorrect configuration. You can download the drivers from the following link by punching in the Service Tag:

Please let me know your findings.
