Wireless not working when using NIC Connection

Question

I have a Dell Latidute C80 with a LinkSYS 2.4 GHz Wireless-G Notebook Adapter.  The wireless connection work fine.  The wireless is connected to a router which is connected to moden for DSL access.  I use the wireless connection to access the internet and to send/receive mail.  When I connect the notebook to my server, using the NIC slot on the notebook (3COM-3C920) or on the docking station, I lose the connection to the Wireless - I can't access the iternet.    If I remove the connection to the server (notebook NIC connection) I get access to the Wireless and the internet.  When both are connected and viewing Network Connections both are connected.   This was working fine when I was using W2K.  This problem came abouot when I upgraded to XP Professional.  I an running SP2.   Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Typo - My notebook is a Latitude C840.
