Hi Bella123,

a) Enable WLAN and Wireless Switch in system BIOS:
- Power off the laptop
- Power it back on and repeatedly tap < F2 > when Dell logo appears (BIOS screen appears; if Windows logo is observed, please repeat the steps)
- Navigate to option 'Wireless' and enable 'Wireless switch', 'Bluetooth' and 'WLAN' (Refer to image below)
- Save settings and exit (Mouse is inoperable on this screen; use keyboard arrow keys to navigate; menu navigation instructions also available at the bottom of the image)

b) Use the Fn + F2 key to turn Wireless On or Off. (If no change is observed, tap only F2 and re-check)
Alternatively, you may use 'Windows Mobility Center' in the control panel to check the status of the wireless connection.

c) If you are not able to use Fn + F2 keys combination, you may install Quickset application for your computer from the link below: http://dell.to/TOvfwT
Download this file on the 'desktop' screen and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Once installed, it will enable the Fn+F2 key combination and you will be able to activate the 'Wireless'.

d) If the issue persists, please check 'Device manager' to verify the current status of the wireless card installed in the laptop. Please follow the steps listed below:
- Click 'Pearl/Start' icon
- Type 'devmgmt.msc' in 'Search programs and files' text box (without quotations)
- Tap < Enter > and 'Device Manager' page appears
- Locate 'Network Adapters' category
- Expand it by clicking the 'arrow sign' besides it
- Check if any yellow mark is present besides the device
- If not, please browse through the complete devices listed to check for any other yellow mark
- If yellow mark is present, wireless driver may have to be installed

Studio 1747 laptop works with a variety of wireless cards. To get the wireless functionality going, only the correct driver needs to be installed. Please reply through a private message with the 'service tag' of your laptop. It will allow me to pull your system's component details and I will provide you with the correct driver to be installed. I have added you as a friend. Please accept my friend request by clicking on my name highlighted in blue and then click on “Friends” tab at the top and then click on “Request to Review” and finally click on “Accept” button. I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag details so I may access your system records and provide you the link to download the correct driver. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message. Hope this helps. Do reply if you have any further questions. I would be glad to assist.
