Wireless printer blocking internet???
I bought a Dell V525w printer. Once I set it up, my computers can no longer access the internet! I have looked everywhere and cannot find an answer. The only way I can make the internet work again is to power down the printer, and reset the router. But, as soon as I turn the printer on, the internet conenction is lost again. This is very frustrating. I need to know how to fix this as soon as possible.
I have a Netgear WNDR3700v3 wireless router. My computer is an Alienware X51.

I guess I fixed it on my own.
I typed in the IP address of the printer in my web browser. This brought me to the printer settings page. I then clicked on "Settings", Then I selected Network/Ports, and chose TCP/IP. I chose to set a static ip address, and left everything the same except I changed the gateway to all zeros. I clicked submit. Now, back in the tcp/ip settings screen, I changed the dns server address to match the IP address of hte printer (not sure if I needed to, but it didn't seem to hurt, and I am including everything I did). I clicked submit.
After that stuff, I powered everything down (wireless router, printer, computer) and waited a few seconds. I then powered everything back on, and all is well! The printer is now working wireless with all my computers, and the internet is functioning normal.
I hope this helps someone else who may be looking for the answer, because I simply could not find much on the web about this.
