wireless problem
I have a laptop with three internal adapter cards:
Intel Pro/wireless 2915abg network con.
broadcom netxtreme 57xx gigabit control
cisco systems vpn adapter
I have a desktop with broadband basestation. I cannot connect my broadband information onto any of these adapter cards. So I cannot connect to the internet with laptop.

If you have a good phone support as part of your DSL or cable connection, I think it is best to contact the provider as many of them do not have the same "rules" for connecting to their network.

Just tell me if you can connect to the internet with any computer on your wireless network.

Since I have trouble understanding your problem, I will not be able to help you.
You may want to post your question again, with more clarity, or wait for another user to respond.
I am sorry I was unable to assist you.

I take it that 'basestation' means something like 'wireless access point' and that with the WiFi working for the original computer (that died) I am not sure why any configuration is necessary except at the new notebook PC rather than at the basestation. If you are trying to connect to the wireless, then the first thing you need to make sure is that wireless (transmitter) is turned on, which may be something like Fn F2
Once the wireless hardware is functioning, make sure you Configure and CLEAR the checkbox 'allow power off to save' energy.
Then, RIGHT-click the icon at the system tray and select 'show all wireless networks'
If that icon is not down there, then find 'show all networks' and find the Wireless adapter propterties and try 'show all wireless networks' there.
It will help if you explain in detail the steps that you are doing and what you _are_ seeing as a result (following each step). As the other person wrote, we do not work for Dell but volunteer.

Hi! I did everything you told me to do. I have been connected to my network it says. I have limited or no connectivety. Power strength very low. this is what it says in the little pop up balloon that the computer shows you.
I want to thank you for the time you are spending with me on my problem.. I appreciate it more than you know.
What do I do next.
