I had the same problem, its not the wireless card its the dell config, utility.  use windows utility to set it up. you will still need you router name and any security settings that your router is set to.

Finally my wireless problem was resolved.  I called verizon and the rep. changed the name of the network from digits to a actual name and that pretty much did it.
