wireless problems - limited or no connectivity
I'm having a problem connecting my Inspiron 2200 laptop wirelessly. It works fine with a wired connection, but not wireless. Here are my settings when using wireless:
C:\Documents and Settings\Chris>ipconfig/all

The odd thing is that my network is 192.168.254.x (subnet mask 255.255.255.0) so it's obviously not picking up the correct infomation even though dhcp is enabled. I tried using an expicit ip address and at that point, the limited or no connectivity message went away and things looked good, but I still couldn't connect to the internet or ping my primary computer.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Do you have any wireless security settings enabled on the router (like MAC address filtering or WPA/WEP encryption)? If so, disable these settings until you can get connection, then re-enable them and make sure eveything is set up consistently.

Of course, if it is disabled, as I suggested, then there will be no encrytption key!
