Wireless Problems...
I have a dell latitude. For the past few months we have had trouble connecting wirelessly. Our router kept messing up and we would have to reinstall the router -- so thinking it was the router we went out and bought a new linksys cable gateway. When the laptop initially turns on sometimes it is connected and will browse for a while and other times it is not and nothing I do (even rebooting) will not fix it. Sometimes it is connected for a few minutes and then loses it's connection and I cannot get it back. Most of the time it sees the network and the network appears available with an excellent connection but we cannot get it to connect. I have turned off the WEP settings until we get this fixed. We are using Windows XP Professional. Suggestions on correcting this problem? Our hard-wired connections all do very well.

I have what sounds like a very similar problem also with a Latitude, and co-incidentally a Linksys Router. Depending on the distance between the laptop and router, the connection stays up for anything between a few minutes and a couple of hours. The Router is only a 802.11b so perhaps replacing with a 802.11g may help if its a case of signal strength.
First though, I'm going to use the latest network drivers as a long shot. In my case I use the built-in Dell TrueMobile WLAN Mini PCI Card and noticed that there's a more recent driver available than mine.
I'll drop you a line if either of these work.
Cheers.
