Wireless Router Ethernet Ports: ENCRYPTED?

My DSL modem and Lynksys wireless router are both located in the kitchen.  I receive its encrypted signal in another part of the house via my desktop's wireless adapter card.  In addition to the DSL input port, the router has 4 ethernet output ports for wired connections.  If I connect another computer (which DOESN'T have a wireless adapter card or any other wi-fi capability) to one of those router ports, will I receive unencryped Internet, like I would if I connected it straight to the modem's output, or would I have to use the WEP key like I do for the other computer's wireless reception?

The security key is only used for wireless connections.  An ethernet cable will work fine. It's best to position the router and modem near the ethernet connected computer. PS the security key- WEP- is not encryption. It just makes it more difficult for unauthorized connections from outsiders--very similar to a password.

Thanks....that's exactly what I need to know. And thanks for putting it in words I can understand!

I knew WEP wasn't as secure as other alternatives but I assumed it was low-level encryption. Is WAPA actual encryption?
