Wireless router recommendations

After trying to do my own research, I think I am suffering from information overload. Too much out there to digest by someone with limited real-world experience.

I'm looking to replace an MN-500 wireless router. I believe what I want is:

802.11g basic, 54 Mb/s adequate, extended speed or range not really needed.
4 wired ports
reasonable security (WEP?)
Online gaming compatible
LAN party gaming compatible
QOS to allow VoIP behind router
Prefer $75.00 or less

Seem to find a bit more than average discontent with the LinkSys units.

To keep in on topic for the DCF, used with:
Dimension XPS T700r (Win98) wired,
Dimension 4300 (WinXP) wired
Inspiron E1705 (Vista) wireless
unspecified guest machines wireless

If you are planning for gamming then go for high speeds or else it would slow down. I dont know this would satisfy u needs or not but i used buffalo router with tomato firmware. Its been up from last 40 days and its still counting. It has QoS, but as u have stated u need voip also and this one has no phone jacks. Buffalo WHR-G54S/WHR-HP-G54 both are fine and stable. linksys are also good ones but make sure you dont go for wrt54G. They have low memory, so u cant flash them with different firmares if u want but the one with linux support is also good.

I hope this helps. :)

Good info, thanks. I've been wondering about the 'Buffalo' brand name, I had never heard that one before. I'll check out the one you mentioned.

You are welcome. If u are  willing to spen like $100 go for the n series and DIR 655 is one of the best in this class.  The Buffalo WHR-G54S uses the Broadcom 5352, while the DIR-655 uses the Ubicom 5160 chip. 40 mbps vs. 180 mbps.
