Wireless Router

I have a stupid question....I have a 4500S desktop....have a cable modem....just bought a wireless router....I plugged in the router to the cable modem....do I also have to plug in an ethernet cable to both? if so, I cant find an ethernet plug on my computer....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

As far as I can tell, a network adapter was optional with the 4500S. Is there an available PCI slot that you could install one in? You can likely purchase one from Best Buy or some similar store for under $30.

Here's an illustration of the back of a 4500S system from the User Manual showing where things are.

Do you also have a laptop you're planning to use with the wireless router?
