You say that tests of your internet speed show you don't have a problem, but you say that the speed show a low value.  Exactly what do you mean.  Are you saying that the connection speed to your router shows a low value?  If so, this could be a function of the distance between the computer and the wireless router and the types of materials that make up any obstruction between the computer and the router.  It could also be due to interference.  Do you have any 2.4 Ghz cordless phones?  What speed testing are you doing?  Please provide more information.  Note that your connection speed could be low and you still could have adequate speed on the internet, since ISPs limit the internet connection speed to well below the connection speed between the computer and the router.
