Wireless Suddenly Not Working...

I have a Bigpond Wireless Home Network modem which is great so I can take my laptop anywhere around my house and use it. Until a few weeks back I turned on my computer and the wireless just stopped working and I've had to have the network cable plugged in which is a pain because now I'm restricted to the desk.

I am not computer literate and don't understand terms too well but could someone please explained to me what could of happened and hopefully a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Below are steps to make sure its functional.

  • Ensure the driver has been installed and is working properly.
  • Check that the your LEDS are responding.
  • Check SYSTEM SETUP  to make sure the NIC is enabled.
  • Run the Broadcom Utility diagnostic to determine if there is a hardware failure
(you can download this from the support.dell.com drivers for your model under "Network"
