Wireless Suddenly Not Working...

Question

I have a Bigpond Wireless Home Network modem which is great so I can take my laptop anywhere around my house and use it. Until a few weeks back I turned on my computer and the wireless just stopped working and I've had to have the network cable plugged in which is a pain because now I'm restricted to the desk.

I am not computer literate and don't understand terms too well but could someone please explained to me what could of happened and hopefully a solution?

Did you happen to turn it of via the switch on the side?

No, there is no switch on the side but there is one underneith (Vostro) which I have double checked and thats fine???

Below are steps to make sure its functional.

Ensure the driver has been installed and is working properly.
Check that the your LEDS are responding.
Check SYSTEM SETUP to make sure the NIC is enabled.
Run the Broadcom Utility diagnostic to determine if there is a hardware failure
(you can download this from the support.dell.com drivers for your model under "Network"
