I dont know if yours is the same for it is a different model, but check advanced settings of your wireless card and see if there is a setting for bandwidth capability. You can check advanced settings by going to start/control panel/click on classic veiw and then system/hardware tab/device manager. Click on the + sign next to network adapters and double click on your wireless network adapter and then the advanced tab.

I am getting 270.  I had to change advance setting 11 a/b/g:20/40mhz to get though. When the driver loaded the default was set lower.

I have the card set to 20/40 I did notice when I disable encription I connected at 300 Then when I turned it back on I dropped to 144 mbps So I guess the encription is slowing it down

Make sure you have it on the first choice on the drop down menu and not the third choice.  I am using WPA2 PSK AES without issue. I am also letting Windows manage my card not the Dell utility.

Sorry I should have been more clear. Make sure you have the first choice selected in advanced settings and not the third on the drop down window. That is if you are using the 1500 wireless card. I explained how to get to advanced settings in the previous post.
