Wireless won't find access point.

I started having trouble staying connected on my wireless connection.  Everything pointed towards the Linksys hub.  My desktop was hardwired and had no issues.  My laptop was an issue.  bought a new Linksys WRT54G and had problems getting it set up on the desktop.  I had to call Linksys for support.  Once fixed we started to try to reset the laptop.  My Inspiron 1150 will not find the wireless connection.  The tech says my card is turned off.  I told her that my card was running, just not consistently prior to me making the change over.  She said I would need to push the Fn/F2 keys to turn it back on which I did and then she said she wasn't familiar with my computer since that didn't work.  Assuming she is correct and somehow I have toggled the wireless card off, how can I turn it back on so it will automatically find my wireless connection.  I am on my laptop now but hard wired to the router.  Any help will be appreciated.

Try checking your notebook's BIOS.

Thank you,  that is exactly where the problem was.  I know I didn't know how to get there and do that but it was turned off.  On to the next problem, getting the laptop to talk to the new router.  Always something isn't it.  :smileyhappy:

If you can now detect your router/AP, take a look at this example.
