Wireless/Broadband problem: Media Disconnected?

Question

Hi there,   I have a Dell Laptop N5110 and am using Windows 7.   My wireless and broadband connection stopped working. A ping test gave the following results: NO RESPONSE – default gateway, DHCP server.  Beyond this, all else seems to be working well because I am able to receive wireless and broadband signals on all other home PCs.   I would greatly appreciate any help or troubleshooting advice :o). Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Create a Power Plan

Select High performance.

Start, control panel, device manager. Click on Network and then right click on your wireless adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
