WLAN and LAN

Question

I have on XP an Inspiron 510m. good access to internet via WLAN and LAN behind a Zyxel router ZYAIR G2000. cannot access my desktop PC, dont 'see' that PC on the explorer or am 'not allowed', although I ran all the setups for installing a network and gave access to data and printer and the like. and it HAS worked the first day, stopped next morning.   thanks

Did you try to restore from that point when it worked?  Is XP's firewall enabled?  If so, disable it.

the firwall was one of the first things I checked.

the restore point, however, is an idea. but I have reinstalled the total XP over the first installation and am not sure if I can restore.
