How many firewalls are ruuning and what kind? It could be that you have not entered the two wireless machines into the safe zone of the wired machine. What permissions are set for the shared folder(s) on the wored machines, ie.e, what outside user has permission to get into it?
I'm just running the Windows XP SP2 Firewall by its default settings. Thing is, I haven't changed any settings on my wireless stations to put any machines in any safe zones, and they can still talk to each other. Could you let me know how to do this "safe zone" setting, just in case?
I only have a few folders with shared permissions to everyone and a shared printer on my wired machine. Funny thing is, also, that when I go to the Windows Netowork on the wired machine, I cannot view the shared folders on the other two machines, but if i manually map them, they work perfectly.
I'm not sure, but I don't believe it is a Firewall issue because as I stated before, I've turned off the Firewalls on all three machines and the same symptoms occur.
Safe Zones referred to third party products such as Zone Alarm. Windows firewall does not have a Safe Zone to my knowledge. If you can see mapped drives, whats the issue?
