Would appreciate if someone can help!

Hi, I'm a newbie here and a self-confessed computer illiterate. Would very much like to seek help on some strange problems about my pc system.

 

As I loved to write and post on many China's websites and others like Korea & etc., I found out that while initially during the early months from February ' 04  till June '04, I encounter not much of any problem, but after that, due to kids playing online-games causing system corruption & system crash. With our dear Dell technical support's  forever advice of system re-install, I had done it several times under extreme frustation.

 

Apart from the annoying back-up before the total wipe-out, of course, after re-installation, the pc works like brand-new, but I found out a problem that  affects my interest and hobby :-

 

I can no longer post long essays, long replies on postings, edit short replies on the many Chinese websites that I so often frequent, but not the Korean & others. It's simply the websites in China.

 

For instance; if I have a long write-up on a 'new message/posting' page, when I press 'send', it took a long time waiting for the little rectagular box with the green signals filling up the whole space within,then somehow the whole thing will vanish and out pops a page saying......Cannot find server /  The page cannot be displayed. The same goes with editing and posting long replies.

 

Somehow wondering was it because  of the length & amount of words' restrictions, cookies, settings or what?

 

But strangely it only happened on all China's websites that I visit. I am in Singapore,so could it be some problems on incompatibility. Even those webmasters on these Chinese websites are unable to offer any solutions and like me, are puzzled.

 

Hence, I sincerely hope someone can assist me in solving this problem, I will be very much appreciated.
