Wreless & Wired network
I have a Netgear wgt624 108 Mbps wireless router. I installed the high speed internet on my computer and it waws working fine. I then installed this wireless router so that I can also use my laptop on the internet. My laptop works fine with the internet but now I for some reason cannot get on the internet with my desktop. I have the cable wire from the wall to the modem, then a ethernet cable to the wireless router, then a ethernet cable to my desktop. Can anyone help me with this. Is my wireless router able to be used for wired and wireless connections?
Thanks for your Help.

Generally it matters WHICH port in the hub gets the Ethernet cable from the modem. In my experience it is either the one on the FAR left or the one on the FAR right.
Forgetting the wireless for the moment, if you take the cable which goes now to the desk computer and plug it into the notebook (but disable wireless) does the notebook work (on Ethernet)?
This is intended as a small troubleshooting step, not as the final answer.

You have individual problems and a global problem.
To get Ethernet back to your desk computer, all you should have to do is separate the Ethernet cable from the hub / access point and connect it back to the desk PC (with the other end still at the modem). When that was your only connection, it worked (did it not).
Right now you have your notebook (and wireless) working. The global problem is to get all that working at one and the same time. At least I want to establish that the two individual problems are capable of being solved, individually, before we try to solve "everything"
