XP64 and Ethernet Connectivity
I have an Inspiron 1420 I purchased for my daughter, that, I have reloaded Windows XP64 on. Though I have no problem connecting wirelessly I am unable to connect via an Ethernet cable to the Internet. There is no listing for a LAN under network connections and the Ethernet controller listed in Device manager has a big question mark. I have not been successful in installing the Broadcom XP driver for the Ethernet controller from Dell, though, I can download it. I have attempted to run winsockXPfix but have had trouble downloading that program to another computer and reloading it on to the new. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

adarsh,
Thanks for the hit back. Already tried to load this driver. Get message "This Broadcom installer is invalid for the detected operating system." Any way around this?
