Ankerd,
Hit the Windows Key and the R keys at the same time. Type
systeminfo.txt
REMOVE THE PRODUCT ID and post the rest of the information back here. (Preferred)
or an ipconfig /all log and maybe it will reveal something.

Hey Rick,
The systeminfo.txt was not recognised
I've tried the other method and these are the results i got (CMD wouldn't let me copy so i print screened)

Look at pictures in order 1 through 3
Also just figured out that it's .exe not txt, might want to edit that if other people are going to use this.
Thanks for the help

Ankerd,
You could have right clicked on the top of the log, thern click on copy, then pasted it.
You have The Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030, Single Band adapter works on the 2.4GHz band ONLY. Even though the adapter is called wireless N, it allows 2 streams to make the connection faster.
The adapter works better with TKIP Security than it does with AES.
I recommend using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings, I use channel 11. I recommend making a new SSID to make connecting easier.
Another member had issues with connecting and once they disabled WPS in their wireless router, everything worked.

Hey Rick,
Thanks again for the help.
I did the steps you suggested and got the wireless working last night until i turned my laptop off and now i can't find the network i set up to connect to.
The wireless is enabled as i can find all of the others around me.
Also I don't think my backlit keyboard is working.
Thanks again

Ankerd,
You didn't hide the SSID, did you?
You can see the other networks around you, correct?
Try powering off the ISP modem/router and the wireless router(if any) wait 30 seconds, then power on the ISP modem/router. Wait 15 seconds, the power on the wireless router(if any)
Restart the computer and try to connect. What happens?
If not connection, can you run an ipconfig /all log and post if back here.

I got my wireless working although it will only connect and discover my network AFTER I have plugged in my ethernet cord and connected.
Even after that if I disconect the ethernet cord then disconect myself from the wireless it will not re connect.
If I close my computer lid without the ethernet cord in when i re open it, it will not reconect to the network.

Ankerd,
Start, control panel, device manager, network
Make sure the power management boxes are unchecked for the everything except the Micorsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adapters
Also go down to Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
Uncheck all the boxes on everything there.

Okay, I've spend about 4 hours on the phone to dell and iinet(my isp) and they can't fix my wireless problem.
The thing is My wireless card seems to be working properly if I have no security on my internet.
As soon as i turn on my security WPA i think it is I cannot connect to my wireless.
Please help me/tell me what to do.
Can I get dell to replace it with one that can connect to WPAsecure internet connections.
I'm so stumped and I really don't think I should have to buy a new one or anything :/
Thankyou,
PudgyOne
