XPS 8700 - internet connection issues

Have just purchased a new XPS 8700 to replace my old Dell last week but for some reason this PC is having connection speed issues on some sites. If downloading a torrent it maxes out at the full speed as expected (around 600k/s). However when attempting say to download a youtube video that should take less than 30 seconds to download it seems to have connection issues. Another example is when google imaging, seems to be very slow when accessing this. Not sure if it's related to this but also Windows 7 SP 1 won't download either but the other updates seemed to work ok. Didn't have these problems on my old Inspiron :/ It's an Intel(R) 7260AC wireless card FYI.

Any info would be appreciated.
