XPS using Intel 2915 won't connect

Received my XPS with Intel 2915 wireless adapter and cannot connect to my network.  Read all the Intel 2915 messages here.  Tried everything and still no joy.  Have other home computers (Dell Inspiron 8200, and others) connected to Linksys WRT54GS b/g router, with WEP enabled and no problem.  Some computers are 802.11 b others are 802.11 g.  Everything works fine except my XPS/2915.

Am I misconfiguring the adapter?  Will it ever work?  Any solutions?

thanks

If it is not seeing any AP's, there could be a problems with the drivers (suggest trying to re-install), or could be the device is not seated properly in the mini-pci slot, or the antenna may not be connected. Of course, it could be a bad card ...

Have you tried enabling the Wireless Zero Configuration service? That may be all that is needed.

P.S.  I should have added that the adapter does not even see any networks.  The rest of puters see the entire neighborhood.

1) use the latest drivers directly from intel.

2) press FN F2 to ensure the radio is turned on.

3) as a last resort, ensure that the antenna wires are properly seated on the card.
