Backlight or power Problem Not sure.

Question

Hi, I have a Dell Studio XPS 16 with windows vista home premium. I got this laptop in February brand new. Now without warning the screen will dim (even when plugged in) for no reason. It has what looks like spotlights across the bottom of the screen and I cant figure out how to make it go away. I have to reboot my laptop to get it back to normal, then it will just happen again. This is getting very frustrating. I hope this is just some setting that I need to change and not a problem with my new laptop. Thanks   Sableprncs

Hi, I have the same problem on an xps studio 16 with Windows 7 Ultimate. The laptop is bought in February 2010. Have someone a solution for this problem.   Tanks Cor

Hi, no one ever responded to my question. However, I think it was caused by the combination of my laptop being new and overheating. It only did it for a while then it just stopped. It doesnt do it anymore.
