Battery power problems

My battery power light blinks yellow very rapidly? Inspiron 6000.

June 13th, 2009 04:00

I bought my Laptop through my Company (NIPDEC). The purchased it from Dell Corporate Services, Latam CNS on line. < ADMIN NOTE: Service Tag removed per privacy policy >. The battery is constantly glowing yellow and I am unable to use my computer independently withthe battery. Everytime I DISCONECT my computer from my direct power supply the date of my computer keep changing to 2007 and the time resets itself to 12.01 a.m.

Please help me to resolve this problem. I need to know if my computer is still under warranty and if so whether or not I am entitle to receiving a replacemet battery free from Dell Corporate Services?

This Dell article explains the battery light codes.

Batteries are only warranted for one year, regardless of what other warranty you may have for the rest of the hardware.   As for warranty coverage,  since I'm guessing you may not be in the US, best thing to do is go to your local Dell web site and look under Support for Warranty Status, or contact the seller directly to find out.
