Creating shortcuts

While I was checking ATI Catalyst program I accidently deleted desktop shortcuts now I can't restore them?  User B desktop shortcuts work Ok, but I cannot create shortcuts for User A.  I have uninstalled the ATI program .  Do I really need this program?

The Catalyst program is a user control program for the video card.  It's not a mandatory item but should be installed.

When you download updates from ATI normally the Catalyst is also included.  When you install, install it for all users on the PC.

The user "A" could have probably been restored by using the System Restore function and restoring the PC back to a date PRIOR to deleting the shortcut.  System Restore is accessed from Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools.  System Restore will not delete any user data or e-mails.

Hi deueld, In all the years that ive had ATI cards, I have never used the Control center. When you go onto the ATI web site for yiur drivers, you get the option for the whole lot, or just the driver. So its up to you weither to keep it on or dump it.
