DELL FORUMS

FROM THE DELL START PAGE, THERE IS A LIKN FOR DELL FORUMS.  ALMOST EVERY TIME I ATTEMPT TO USE THAT LINK, I RECEIVE A MESSAGE THAT THE WEB PAGE IS NOT AVAILABLE.

FROM THE SAME DELL START PAGE, WHEN I ADD "STUFF" I GET A MESSAGE THAT TGHE WEB PAGE MAY CREAT PROBLEMS.

ALSO, I TRIED FOR SEVER DAYS TO FIND THIS PAGE SO THAT I COULD POST MY PROBLEMS.

THIS IS A VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE.  DOES ANYONE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS?

BY THE WAY, WHAT IS A "TAG"

Joseph,

I also recently joined the Dell Community, and I've discovered that navigating this site is not intuitive.  Instead of going to "Dell Forums" try going to "New to the Dell Community".  Toward the top on the right side you'll see "Start A New Thread".  Click on that to post your message.  That's how I did it.

And a tag is just a word or phrase describing your post.  Click on the "Select Tags" tab below the tag line to see examples of what others have written in the space.  Good luck.

JOSEPH0418,

We have been told that Dell is working on the posting issue. The Dell Community is not very user friendly to browsers that are NOT Internet Explorer 7. I use Mozilla Firefox and I have to use the IE Tab add-on to be able to navigate here, and yes, I too have trouble posting. You are NOT alone! Reminds me of a movie.

The tag issue, they used to have a tag feature for each forum, in the left column, but we couldn't control it. Dell removed the tags from the left column but once the fix it, it's possible it will be back. The feature was, that you'd click on a tag, like printer, then you could select the model number tag and it would almost take you to posts that were made about that printer, helping you install it correctly.

Here's a link to the main Forums.
