what is the file name? It may be as easy as just deleting it but then again it may be a necessary file

What model system do you have, and what OS are you using (there are SP2's for both XP and Vista)?
Confirm you tried downloading it directly off the Microsoft website: XP SP2 / XP SP3?If it's Vista you have: Vista SP1 / Vista SP2.
You can get the SP's from many sources other than Microsoft themselves though.
Just Google Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista SP2 :emotion-5:
