problem with hot keys display
hello,
i have brought a studio 15 couple of days ago.
On the first day when i press any of the hot keys on the top (brightness inc,dec vol inc,dec,bat status) therz a concerned symbol displaying on the screen showing the action performed. but, now therz nothing being displayed. dont know what happenned, is there any setting for that which might have been disabled? recently when i connected to interenet the OS has automatically installed some updates, other than that i havent installed any new s/w's to my system.

Hi, Have you solved your problem?, because I have the same problem on the Vostro 1500

I have just solved the problem.
It's to do with the Quickset being disabled.
If you go to 'Run' and type in 'msconfig' you can select this.

After a disastrous upgrade to Windows 7 which resulted in me doing a wipe and clean install, I'm having the same problem... but when I did what you suggested, I can't find QuickSet mentioned anywhere? I assume I'll need to reinstall it from somewhere - what is it exactly?
