Stop/Blue Screen Error

Question

On Feb. 26, upon startup, got STOP ERROR message 0x0000007E (*Physical Memory Dump).  This AM (March 1) got another STOP error message (no number shown).    Firefox determined:  Metastream 3 plugin could be involved and Blocked & Disabled it.  I know NOTHING about computer technology.  I have NO IDEA what any of this  means.  Just know it sounds BAD.  First time I've ever had any problem with this computer.  Suggestions????
