3020 GPU

So I bought a 9020 sff with my lack of knowledge. As my knowledge grew, I wanted to build my own PC or buy my own. But then I learned the possibility of the 9020. Since then, I've researched tons and I got a GT 1030 into my core i-5, 16gb RAM build. I also installed a 2TB SSD. I know how to take out and replace the PSU with the pin adapter. I bought a 750W PSU. My one question is that with the removal of the PSU for more space and more power, would I be able to go higher than something like a 1650? I'm looking at things like the RTX 2060/2070, or the RX 6700 XT. Would it ever be possible?

Something else to consider is big GPU card with I5 4th gen CPU - bottleneck?

From pc-builds.com:

Best bet with big cards is a bigger and newer tower.  But you can still have a fairly decent gaming rig.  The 315w PSU from an XE2 SFF works in the 9020.  With that, you can use 75w cards.  I'm not 100% sure about 100w cards which need 6-pin connector, so I can let one of our other Dell Community members chime in about that.

Check out YouTube if not already.  People make decent Dell SFF gaming rigs all the time.  What's not recommended though is running 75w cards on stock 255w PSU, as it's outside of Dell specs.

To tweak a little more out of the 9020 and a little less bottleneck, I7-4790 is top listed CPU for it.

You seemed to have done a typo with "3020" in subject line and then talking about "9020" in email body.  So, if it were a 3020, everything I said stands the same with the exception of top CPU, which is I5-4570.  I'm sure people have experimented with I7's in their 3020's though.

Yeah, the PSU would be outside the case

assuming you are installing 750w psu out of SFF case, psu is powerful enough to support RTX 2070S (Recommended PSU Wattage: 459 W) and RX 5800XT(Recommended PSU Wattage: 546 W) based on basic online psu calculator.

Huge cards would require PCI-E riser, Moddiy power supply 24 to 8 pin adapter etc.

Yeah, I meant 9020, my bad. I think I'll research and upgrade to the best GPU I can do with the i7- 4790 once I upgrade that. After that, I'll save up for a whole new set up
