3050 for a optiplex 7010 DT

I question on whether a dual slot card can fit in a DT.  Google it's dimensions and compare that to the space you have.  DT cards need to be LP (low profile).

@bradthetechnut​ Sorry, there's different models on the site, im going for the one called "Low Profile" so should be LP but you can check

7010 DT and MT motherboard both appear to be microATX with two pciex16 slots that are three slot width apart.  

The top slot is wired x16, good for dual slot width card.  As already said low profile for DT.

your research ought to be on whether RTX 3050 can meet those goals than whether it could fit DT case.  The old Intel 3rd gen cpu of 7010 such as i7 3770 is a major concerning limitation of gpu upgrade

RTX 3050 = 7.2% bottleneck with the i7-3770.  Not bad.

Same CPU GTX 1050 Ti = 2.3% bottleneck  This is assuming you have an i7-3770.

@redxps630  Would a double-slot card still fit in the DT?

Back to @Luke is a gamer  GTX 1050 Ti is easier to find in single-slot version.  Just make sure it and your PC meet system requirements for VR.

You might know - Drawback with DT is full-size MT is easier to upgrade and can accommodate cards that are a little larger.
