390, CPU upgrade
Hello everybody,
I have a MINI TOWER Dell Optiplex 390 with Core i3 2120. I want to upgrade my CPU but I was not able to find the compatible CPU's. The following are the information that you might need to help me out.
Chipset Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series
BIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. A11, 10/14/2013
Here is a link to Crucial.com with my RAM and SSD
Even though on this website it says that my chipset is H61, it is not, because if it was it would accept Intel core i7-3370, or Intel core i5-3570. Please let me know if you need any other info for more clarification.

i5-4570 being 4th Gen cpu requiring lga1150 socket is incompatible with 390 cpu socket of lga1155.

For the i7-3470 i am not sure but for the i5-4570 I am sure it can work

The e3-1230 is listed by some users using the 390 in userbenchmark.
For the e3-1220, you could probably try it report back. Make sure socket type is the same and CPUID Signature. If socket types aren't the same, the risk is bending pins in the current socket.

So.... this Intel compatible?
Because I have this PC, it is the same as Optiplex 390 but in DT mode.
and this is how my pc goes.

The fastest CPU was confirmed already in this thread - The i7-2600k is the fastest CPU that'll work in the 390 according to userbenchmark. Keep in mind Dell BIOS in the 390 does not have OC.

@bradthetechnut oohh sorry sorry... I'm just realizing it... But the Intel® Turbo Boost 2.0 that the i7-2600 has integrated works fine, right?
I say this because I found a page dedicated to the optiplex 390 where it says all its hardware updates it can support and this made me curious
It is implied that the i7-2700k version does obviously work without activating the overclock, but it does have the turbo boost that it has integrated.

@Luffy-27 te respondo.. si se puede actualizar y el que le queda es el core i7-2600.. que sea esa version por que la version i7-2600k no servira ya que esta placa no funciona el overclock
asi que el que funciona es el core i7-2600 ( que proximamente ya me lo traen ya lo pedi y me llega en una semana)
