7050 MFF, dual monitors will not work together
I have a new Dell OptiPlex 7050 MFF. It has two video out ports, HDMI and DP. I have two HDMI monitors that I'm trying to use on this computer. I connect one to the HDMI port and it works great alone, no problem at all. I connect the second monitor to the DP using a DP to HDMI cable and it works fine alone. However, when I try to connect both monitors, at boot up neither monitor will work. I can boot with either monitor connected alone and it works fine. After booting, if I try to connect the second monitor it will not work and windows cannot detect a second monitor.

Your video card or integrated video must support dual monitors. The DP might be the same signal as the HDMI and that is why they don't work together. Check your manual to find out about the display port or research it online.

Hello,
I was wondering if you fix\figured out this issue? I am getting the same the same issue, and my chipset will allow for dual monitors. I have changed out the cables switched PC's to test with and get the same thing. If I unplug one of them the PC will boot up, then I plug the cable back in and it works. But if I reboot or shutdown the system it will not boot up until I unplug a cable.

The signals for DP and HDMI are the same port.
2 monitors is not supported.

I just spent some time with an Optiplex 7050 Micro where 2nd monitor wasn't working. Intel Graphics 530
After upgrading BIOS and Intel graphics drivers it did end up working.
So i suggest you update BIOS and drivers and see if it works.
