9020sff psu extension cables
I bought a cheap 9020sff on ebay during lockdown for home schooling but like usual, I got the upgrade bug. Currently, it has an ssd, 32gb ram, front fan replaced with 80mm noctua, 40mm noctua exhaust fan, upgraded 315w psu from xe2, copper core heat sink and fan from xe2 and a low profile 1650 gpu in the x4 slot. Everything works fine. Temps aren't bad and I don't use it loads or work it hard but it is fairly noisy, especially since I swapped out 1050ti for 1650. I have been considering the best things I could do regarding heat and noise (and price) and what I'd like to do is move the psu out of the case, which would give more room for air in the case, stop the psu from blocking the gpu fans and I could move the gpu to the x16 slot. So my issue is getting the right extension cables for the psu. I know the pin layout is proprietary and not atx but most of the cables I find are atx or converting 24pin to 8 pin or 8 to 6 etc. I literally just want to extend the 2 cables used from the psu (8 pin and 4 pin I think). Being the xe2 psu it has an additional 6 pin but I don't use that as gpu doesn't require external power. For where the pc and psu are going to be, the psu will probably be behind the pc, don't think there will be room on top, so probably looking at 30cm extension. Can anyone please advise? To reiterate, I am not proposing switching to non Dell psu, just getting enough cable to move the psu outside the case. Thanks.

4 pin cpu cable extension is standard.
to get an 8 pin extension cable for 9020 you first need to know the Dell connector bevel key. It looks like this
therefore this Dell 8 pin connector (one standard type) is different from PCIe 8 pin connector which has a different bevel key. But the Dell bevel key looks identical to standard EPS 8 pin connector. so you can use a standard EPS 8 pin extension cable.

Oh thank you so much. I was getting worried because I saw several posts with people saying that as the system is not standard atx that you couldnt use those cables and i was concerned that wires may cross over on the extension cable, but i suppose thats more in conversion than straight extension. So the following should be fine?
the 8 pin looks like the bevel you show, just upside down. Thanks for the help.

The 8 pin EPS extension cable is passive pass through with 4 yellow and 4 black wires going straight from female to male end. No cross over. It will transmit whatever 8 pinout you connect to the female end to the male end. It is a one to one extension in other words. Whatever nonstandard 8 pin you connect to it, the male end replicates exactly the same pinout.
I would use straight 8 to 8 pin EPS extension cable (without 4+4 pin split end) like this one.
