A Solution to Optiplex 7080 audio problems
Note that all pictures used is captured on my computer, which uses zh-CN locales. You can infer which thing to click from its position
1.open Dell Optimizer and click this:
and roll to the bottom and tick this box:
2.plug some(proper)thing into the audio jack and this window will pop up.
choose "headset" (1) and click "optimize" (2)
tick "don't ask me again" if you don't want this window to show next time when you plug something into the audio jack
after this, the computer will use both the internal speaker and headset that was plugged into front panel
and headset and internal speaker are shown as separated devices
it's easy to make the internal speaker silent (disable or mute it)

I bet you, as a bot, won't understand this, but I do mean that I'm giving a SOLUTION.
I have no problem now and want to share my experience with others.
Also, if dell can listen to users, plz give Optiplex 7080 an audio console application. Such a way of configuring audio input & output is really hard to use.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

I found an easier way for my system to work with a headset.
I bought a USB headset, and a USB hub, and it's all working well now. I only use the headset for Zoom meetings, so if it required a faster connection, I am not sure if it work be suitable.
I could not get the audio plugs to recognize a mic before and especially after windows 11 was upgraded and installed. The headset worked before Windows 11 upgrade, and a USB mic would work.
So after windows 11, no plug would work. So since I knew a USB mic would work, but the headset still would not, I wondered if there was a USB headset somewhere in the world ? and VOILA, I went and bought a USB HUB, plugged in a USB headset, and it all works well now.
Audio is good.
I might try the above fix, with the chinese characters, maybe just to see, but when something works, it's not smart to try to fix it again. I won't bother. I upgraded the drivers today, before I got the USB headset and it still didn't recognize anything in the audio inputs that I plugged in, so options had to be attempted.
