Bad Ram
Hello!
My brother has a Dell Optiplex 380 and the ram is bad and its making the computer beep on startup.
Specs:
500GB HP HDD
x2 2GB Sticks one of them are bad
I don't know the CPU Make or Model
I need a solution!

Replace the RAM, both sticks. That is DDR 3 1067 and can be purchased rather inexpensively. Also 4 GB is the maximum total of RAM for that system. Keep in mind that the 380 is approaching 12 years old and it may be wiser to consider replacing the system. Having said that how many beeps and are you sure it is bad RAM?
@Mary G is spot on with her recommendations, she also types considerably faster than me.

It could be a bad motherboard. Run the Diagnostics to test all the hardware before buying new ram for the old computer. Might be time to recycle it and buy a new computer.
