Hi @Legacy_systems ,
I'm afraid not. It's just a fix on how Windows certifying and signing the firmware update package. Nothing to do with Intel Microcode.

Some Bios updates are for Spectre / Meltdown issues.
Signed bios is an option. HOWEVER once you go this route you CANNOT REVERT to unsigned bios.
There are also Intel Management Engine Updates.
