Boot Problem

i have an optiplex 7020 sff motherboard in a built pc, all is working fine except when i enter the bios, it lists ubuntu and then my ssd as boot options. my ssd is my windows 10 drive from my last pc that was not a dual boot, when i delete ubuntu as an option and set my ssd as first, it boots into the GNU GRUB. When i return to the bios is has reset to ubuntu being on top with my ssd as the second option again.

If it's working fine and boots fine, you might be able to just leave it.

I am a little surprised a boot option reappears after being deleted.  I deleted a couple of network boot options in my 7010 and they stayed deleted.

Try replacing the size 2032 CMOS battery if it's 5+ years old and see if that works.  That also resets BIOS.

Others might chime in with ideas as well.

Is the BIOS on the latest version for it?  From what I searched, I think it's A18 from 7-19-19.  https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/optiplex-7020-desktop/drivers
