PS the last Dell optiplex model that still used microATX form factor was 3020/7020/9020, which belonged to series 4. After series 4k every model in optiplex series 5-6 adopted proprietary form factor motherboard, which was Dell’s business decision to steer away from tradition.

Unfortunately Dell optiplex series 5 mobo including 5040 is highly proprietary in form factor, which would not fit non Dell standard (m)ATX case.
